The 10th National Stammering Awareness Day

Stuttering Pride – Respect, Dignity, Recognition

The 10th National Stammering Awareness Day takes place on October 22nd 2016 in the Hilton Kilmainham Hotel, Dublin.
The theme for this year is: Stuttering Pride – Respect, Dignity, Recognition.
 NSAD was established
by Michael O’Shea and Jonathon Linklater in 2007. In its 10 years NSAD has enjoyed many international and homegrown speakers, run workshops for children and parents and brought closer together the community of people who stammer. NSAD has featured informative and enjoyable sessions including face painting for kids, drama with ISAYiT! and the
Gaiety School of Acting, student presentations, research studies, academic presentations and inspiring stories from hundreds of people who stammer. These people who stammer (possibly including you) have come together to
use their voices, listen to others, meet up and to support other people who stammer. NSAD has been generously funded by Speak Soon Communications. Additional support has come from Irish Stammering Association – who have operated workshops for parents, children and teenagers who stutter – as well as Irish McGuire Programme. ISA extends a special invitation to you for this 10th National Stammering Awareness Day. Entry
is free and people who stutter, their friends and families are invited to learn more about stammering
in a supportive and
safe environment. The provisional programme can be found below. We hope that you can make this special event.
