ISA is hosting its November Walk and Talk on Sunday 11th November in the beautiful surroundings of the National Botanic Gardens, Dublin 9. We’d be delighted if you would join us for a stroll and a chat.

Location: The National Botanic Gardens, Dublin 9Meeting Point: 12.00pm, Inside the main gates of the National Botanic Gardens, Dublin 9Getting there by car: From the South or city centre, leave Dublin via the Drumcondra road (N1), and turn left at Botanic avenue (Fagan’s pub), just before crossing the river Tolka. At the end of Botanic avenue turn left at the T-junction. Alternatively leave the city via Phibsborough, on the Finglas road (N2). Just after passing over the Royal Canal, follow the one way system around Hart’s corner, turning right then left onto Botanic road. At the bottom of the hill turn left at the traffic lights. The gardens are 100m past this junction and on the left. Car parking facilities are available ( the first 2hrs cost €1 / hr) after that the fee is €2 / hr. There is a bike rack in the car park where you can leave your bike during your visit.Getting there by public transport from the Dublin area: The following bus routes go past the gardens: 4 – (Harristown – Ballymun – Botanic Avenue – Phibsboro shopping centre – O’ Connell street – Pembroke road – Blackrock – Stradbrook)

9 – (Limekiln ave. – South Circular rd.- O’ Connell street – Botanic Road – Beneavin rd. – Charlestown)

83 – (Kimmage {Sundrive rd, Rathmines} – Harristown {Ballygall rd East})Length of Walk: Approx. 2hrs

What is the Walk and Talk? This will be a social gathering and will provide an opportunity for those who stammer, their family and friends, or those with an interest in stammering to Walk and Talk as they make their way around the relaxing and beautiful gardens. The gardens are noted for fine plant collections holding over 15,000 plant species from a variety of habitats worldwide, for award winning plant houses and for an array of garden features.We will visit the gardens cafe after the walk for refreshments. The walk is open to all ages, although children under 16 should be accompanied by an adult.
